Get crafty at Quota fair
GET in touch with your creative side, be in with a winning chance and help out local charities at the 11th annual Twin Towns Craft Fair.
Quota International is behind the fair today and tomorrow that will be jammed packed with crafty knic-knacs, workshops, demonstrations and plenty of beautiful things to buy.
There will be 44 stalls run by people who have travelled to the Tweed from between Iluka and Toowoomba.
Some of the craft mediums they will be displaying include patchwork, folk art, dolls, tatting, hand crafts, beads and jewellery, quilting, machine embroidery, Christmas craft, candles, papertole, painting, soaps, bears, scrapbooking and country crafts.
Learn to make your own gift cards, design and personalise your own jewellery or view the skills of talented artists.
“We want people to really get involved and have a great weekend,” Ms Ahrens said.
Proceeds from the day will go back to Quota Tweed Heads and Coolangatta, where members have chosen charities and causes in the area to put the money towards.
Entry for adults is $5, school students $3 and under-12 years are free.
With every entry comes the chance to win two nights bed and breakfast at Byron Cove Resort.
Lunch and other delights will be available at the fair at Tweed Heads Civic Centre on the corner of Wharf and Brett Sts from 9am to 4pm each day.
