TWEED dancing enthusiasts will be delighted to hear that the 2012 Miss Tweed Ball series will run in April, with the first event in the series being held at Uki Hall.
The competition has been running for 40 years, under the auspices of the Tweed Combined Country Halls Association, and is managed in 11 different towns in the Tweed Shire.
Secretary Wendy Warren said the contest would offer a chance for all age groups to compete.
"All sections will be contested from tiny tots to open age group, it's a family fun night," she said.
"Live music will be played by Trilogy, with a country style supper provided."
The Miss Tweed finals will take place in August at the Catholic Hall in Murwillumbah, which will spell an end to the four-month-long competition.
