DOWN sizing isn't always a negative thing.

Greg James from Farmers' Choice Organics and his partner Vanessa once ran a huge nursery on 130 acres near Byron Bay.

"We shrank the nursery down by about 80%," Mr James said.

"It was pretty nerve-wracking at the time, but we have found that becoming smaller is actually paying off."

With a great deal of community support, the couple have set up their nursery in the Murwillumbah CBD, producing 100% organic seedlings.

"This has always been Vanessa's dream," Mr James said.

"It's great to see it come to fruition."

My Daily News discovered a little stowaway amongst the seedlings.

A little rainforest tree from made its home in one of the punnets.

Farmers' Choice Organics is the first certified organic seedling supplier in Australia.
