Going up: Bottle shop rapidly takes shape in South Tweed

MASSIVE tilt-up concrete panels are allowing construction crew on the new Dan Murphy's Tweed South site to literally see progress every hour as the structure rapidly began to take shape.

Made on site, the panels are stood by a large crane and bolted into place by workers, one panel about 6m in height and 10m in length.

Large moulds kept onsite allow the concrete panels to be poured, set and stood in place, already having windows and doorways pre-set into them.

If work continues at current speeds, onlookers passing the corner of Minjungbal Dr and Parry St can expect the building's exterior walls to be finished by weeks end.

Due to open to the public in late 2014 the store will be one of the biggest in the chain of over 175 locations across the country.
