GOLD Coast detectives have released a comfit of a man involved in the shooting at Robina on November 26.

A 25-year-old man received a shoulder wound when he was shot outside a residence at Cedarwood Cres at about 10.15pm.

Police said the gunman fired a shotgun at least three times with the victim receiving pellet wounds while pellets also struck nearby houses and a car.

At the time of the attack detectives believed it wasn't a random incident.

"We believe the offender targeted the victim and this wasn't a random incident," detective superintendent David Hutchinson said at the time of the incident.

"The victim had no criminal history and we are still looking into the circumstances and the histories of everyone involved. We are keeping all options open."

Police are also looking for a dark-coloured Jeep 4WD vehicle in the area at the time of the shooting.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
