Gold Coast man shot

POLICE are yet to learn how or where a man who presented himself at the Gold Coast Hospital received a gunshot wound to his thigh.

The 26-year-old man, who is being treated for a minor injury after arriving at the hospital just before midnight (AEST) on Monday, has spoken to police but the circumstance are still "unclear".

A police statement said investigations were continuing but no further information would be available until the incident could be confirmed.
