Gold Coast told to brace for rain

GOLD Coast residents are being warned to brace for heavy rain this afternoon.

The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast up to 150mm could fall in just 24 hours across the south-east Queensland region.

The rain should develop by late afternoon and will continue through Monday.
