Gold Coast woman wins $30m
A GOLD Coast woman is now $30 million richer after winning the entire Powerball first division.
The woman didn’t believe her eyes when she checked her numbers online following the draw last night.
“I checked the numbers on my entry against the numbers on the screen over and over again and each and every time they matched up,” the woman said.
The woman said she’s planning to give people who have helped her and will start by buying her friend a new television as it had been on the blink.
“This is a once in a lifetime experience. I intend to use the money to make a real difference in my life and the lives of others,” she said.
“I’ll never have to work again so I’ll have plenty of time to consider the best way forward.”
The woman said she hopes to also give to environmental and wildlife causes, which are close to her heart.
The woman bought her 18 game Super QuickPick entry for $14.45 at NewsXpress Nerang, at Nerang Fair Shopping Centre, on the Gold Coast.
She was the only division one winner nationally.
