Great Britain take gold, silver
GREAT Britain has won gold and silver on a dramatic day in the men's C2 canoe slalom at the London Olympics.
The duo of Tim Baillie and Etienne Stott pipped their teammates, David Florence and Richard Hounslow, by a mere three-tenths of a second.
The British crews' efforts pushed the three-time Olympic champions, the Slovakian pair of Pavol Hochschorner and Peter Hochschorner, to third.
The Hochschorner brothers were on the verge of making history, going for four consecutive gold medals, but duo had to settle for bronze in London.
