Groups receive $400,000 in funding
TWEED community groups will be able to update their facilities with more than $400,000 in funding.
Tweed MP Geoff Provest said nine not-for-profit organisations in the Tweed electorate won grants under the State Government’s Community Building Partnerships program.
“The program was launched in the June State Budget to encourage economic activity,” Mr Provest said.
“I congratulate the successful applicants who will now be able to enhance their facilities to the benefit of local communities.”
Mr Provest said a few groups missed out, but only because there was not enough funding.
“There was nothing wrong with their applications but there simply wasn’t enough money on the table to satisfy everyone,” he said.
“The funding delivered for the Tweed electorate was actually slightly higher than the $400,000 initially promised.”Who is getting what
