THE Queensland Longboard Titles have wrapped up on the Sunshine Coast with plenty of great action over the weekend in near perfect waves.

Southern Gold Coast local Clint Guest has won the new Logger division at the Queensland Long board titles on the sunshine coast.

Sunshine Coaster Nic Jones won the opens ahead of Guest and Jesse Jerems.

Mr Guest was on fire from day one of competition posting big scores in both the logger and open performance divisions on Saturday June 1 and continued his red hot form into today's finals.

Alexandra Headland provided perfect peelers for Mr Guest to show his full arsenal of tricks, racking up plenty of time on the nose.

"Conditions were perfect out there and I just felt really relaxed," said Mr Guest.

It's not all that often that the elements come together for surf competition; the best surfers tend to shine brighter though the better the wave quality gets.

Also finishing 3rd in the open men's event has put Guest in a strong position going into the Australian titles in Port Macquarie later in the year.

"The Aussie titles will be a big test, I hope I can better my 5th place finish from last year and win it," Mr Guest said.

It's never easy against a big name field though so I am just stoked I have made the Queensland team."
