Gun used in hold up at Coolangatta overnight

A MAN threatened a store clerk with a hand gun before stealing cash from a Coolangatta convenience store last night.He entered the Douglas St business at 10.35pm before grabbing the cash and running away.

A police statement said the man fled on foot and was last seen running north along Douglas St.

"He is described as Caucasian, aged between 20 and 30, wearing a dark coloured hooded jumper, dark denim jeans and white sandshoes," the statement said.

"No one was physically injured and police investigations are continuing."
