Pizza shop robber couldn't jump counter

UPDATE 3PM: A man who stormed into a pizza shop with a handgun left empty handed after a worker fled out the back.

Ipswich detectives are investigating the attempted armed robbery of the Brassall Domino's Pizza shop on Pine Mountain Rd.

A man entered the shop about 9.25pm Tuesday.

Upon noticing the handgun, the shop attendant hid at the rear of the business.

Police said the offender tried to jump the counter but was unsuccessful and he left the scene empty handed.

The offender was described as wearing a grey hooded jumper and black tracksuit pants, with his face obscured by cloth

 

6AM: Police are investigating after a man armed with a gun attempted to rob a fast food store at Brassall last night.

Around 9.25pm a man entered the Domino's Pizza on Pine Mountain Road, armed with a handgun.

The male attendant upon seeing the weapon immediately hid at the rear of the business.

The man attempted to jump the counter to access the rear of the shop without success and subsequently left empty handed.

The attendant was not physically harmed.

The man is described as wearing a grey hooded jumper, black tracksuit pants and had his face obscured by cloth.
