Gunman on run, police hunt cars

UPDATED, 5pm: Police have released photos of vehicles linked to a shooting at Robina in November.

Police divers are also searching the canal adjacent to Peach Dr, Robina this morning.

On November 26, a 25-year-old man was shot in the shoulder outside a residence at Cedarwood Cres at about 10.15pm.

Police said the gunman fired a shotgun at least three times with the victim receiving pellet wounds while pellets also struck nearby houses and a car.

At the time of the attack detectives believed it wasn't a random incident and didn't rule out bikie gang involvement.

Police are now searching for four vehicles that may be linked to the shooting including a black 2007 Jeep Commander four-wheel-driver seen containing two people at the Cedarwoord Cres address and at Robina Town Centre earlier that night.

The Jeep may have also been near a white tray back ute at Broadbeach earlier in the day.

Also at the town centre that night was a silver 2011 Toyota Camry and a gold, near 2000 model, Ford Sedan.

Anyone who saw these vehicles should contact the Serious and Violent Crime Squad on 07 5570 7909 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
