Gunshot victim drove for help

A GUNSHOT victim, who drove himself to a relative's home for help before he collapsed, remains in a critical condition.

The 37-year-old was shot in the back in Sydney's south west early Friday morning.

Family members phoned 000 when the wounded man turned up on their door step.

He was treated at the scene and rushed to the Liverpool Hospital with life threatening injuries.

Police are yet to establish where the shooting happened.
