Fitness trend sees Tweed gym renovate to meet demand
GENESIS Fitness in Tweed Heads has had a makeover to meet with increasing demand for equipment and health programs.
The club underwent a complete fit-out and now boasts the latest in machines, classes and personal training.
"We've extended the size of the gym and renovated the workout areas and bathroom facilities," customer manager David Hurley said.
Patrons will now have access to a hammer strength hoist, plate-loaded and free weight, as well as a pin-loaded techno gym.
New cardio Life Fitness and Techno Gym treadmills, cross-trainers, steppers and bikes have also been installed.
The gym will also carry Gen Fit multifunction training, Les Mills classes, yoga and cycling.
The overhaul of the gym's services promises to help patrons achieve their own makeover dreams.
"There are five qualified personal trainers on hand at the gym, a mix of both men and women," Mr Hurley said.
"When a member joins up they not only get a gym induction, they also get a fully personalised program for their fitness goals, whether it be for body building, weight loss or general health."
Genesis Fitness memberships are flexible and range from casual visit passes to monthly and yearly plans.
Mr Hurley said the club's biggest strength was its quality customer service.
"We are staffed six days per week and there is also a creche for children aged six weeks onwards," he said.
Overseeing the professional modernisation of the gym during the past three months was new general manager Sarah Mackay.
Ms Mackay previously held a managerial role at a Brisbane gym.
