Have say on future aged care

PEOPLE of the Tweed have the opportunity to influence the future of aged care in Australia.

The Productivity Commission is seeking comment on draft report, Caring for Older Australians, until March 21.

The findings will provide the Federal Government with key advice on the future of aged care.

According to the report the current system needs to be overhauled to meet the challenge of an aging population and improve the wellbeing of older Australians.

It is hoped the public inquiry will help develop detailed strategies for the redesign of the existing system.

Find the report at www.pc.gov.au.

Written submissions can be sent to the Productivity Commission by March 21 and public hearings will be held in most capital cities.
