Have your say on our council

COUNCILS tend to be easy fodder for newspapers across the country.

But it is fair to say that over the past year this council has given us more than enough interesting headlines.

And sadly it is the more controversial moments which immediately spring to mind when you think about the performance of this group since elected in September of 2008.

That's not to say that the councillors have not done any good for the community in their time.

Far from it. In fact on a day-to-day basis this council has dealt with numerous developments, funding requests and infrastructure needs for our community which will no doubt have a positive impact.

So we want to know your view on the councillors by telling us who you think is performing in their role as an elected representative.

We want to know who you think has not performed to your expectations since being handed this honour.

And even though the council might not be fond of the mayoral popularity contest, we think it would be interesting to see how this might turn out if the vote was handed over to the public.

Have your vote on our story What do you think of our council.

It's your turn to have a say.
