Head floating down river proves to be a load of rubbish

A MEMBER of the public reported seeing a head floating down the Tweed River at Tumbulgum this morning.

Police responded to the report just before 9am and attended the scene where they discovered a bag of rubbish in the river.

Inspector Jim Kain of the Tweed-Byron Local Area Command said it was a case of mistaken identity.

"It looked something like it (a head), but it was just rubbish," he said.
