A TWEED Heads man who allegedly bashed and stomped on another Tweeds Heads man's head resulting in his death has had his charges upgraded to murder.

Gareth Lewis, 36, did not appear in Lismore Local Court today over the alleged assault that occurred on July 1.

The case was adjourned until November 20 to allow time for neurological and toxicology reports on his alleged victim 41 year-old David Mitchell to be completed.
