Heavy traffic brought a tedious end to the holidays

TWEED residents returning from Easter getaways dealt with some serious traffic on Monday.

The Live Traffic NSW website reported traffic queues of up to 19km on the Pacific Hwy northbound near Ewingsdale.

It's understood peak holiday traffic, along with roadworks, led to delays of up to 90 minutes.

There did not appear to be any significant delays southbound from the Gold Coast.
