Hells Angels bikie accused of starting brawl arrested

THE bikie accused of starting the brawl at Burleigh has been arrested at a Nandos fast food restaraunt on the Gold Coast.

John Fahey, 37, was arrested while dining at the chicken shop in Mermaid Beach by heavily armed officers backed up by the police helicopter last night, News Limited has reported.

The former Bandidos national sergeant at arms, who patched over to the Hells Angels this year, has been charged with affray for allegedly starting a brawl with rival gang members at the Sculpt Training Centre gym car park in Burleigh last month.

Police have alleged the brawl between Nomads and the Hells Angels.

Police stood guard within the court precinct this morning while Fahey was excused from appearing personally in the dock at Southport Magistrates Court.

His solicitor Jodi Allen did not apply for bail and his case was adjourned for case conferencing on January 29.
