Special noodles see Tiawanese man in police custody

AN ACCUSED drug smuggler, who allegedly used noodle packets to disguise a stash of heroin in his luggage, has been handed over to Australian Federal Police.

Custom officials stopped a 41-year-old Taiwanese national at Sydney Airport at the weekend as he arrived on a flight from Thailand.

Inside his bags, they allegedly found 3.5kg of white powder, concealed in noodle packets.

A Customs spokesperson confirmed the substance had tested positive to heroin on Tuesday and police were investigating.
