High range drink driver caught on Pacific Highway

A WOMAN has been charged with high range drink driving after a traffic stop over the weekend.

On Saturday, Police from Tweed Byron Local Area Command said a 40-year-old female from Tweed Heads was stopped by police on Pacific Highway, Chinderah.

The driver was subjected to a random breath test, which provided a positive result.

She was arrested and conveyed to Tweed Heads Police Station where an breath analysis was conducted.

The result was high range concentration of alcohol and the female was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice to appear at Tweed Heads Local Court.
