Top performing NAPLAN schools
THE NAPLAN results are out for Gold Coast high schools and parents can access their child's individual results.
Miami State High School principal Jim Baker said his students had received positive results. "NAPLAN results have been received by all schools across Australia recently," Mr Baker said.
"I am pleased to announce that Miami State High School is 'at' or 'above' the means for 'Like Schools' and Queensland State Secondary Schools across all dimensions.
"Miami High is significantly above in writing."
Mr Baker said students would have received their individual results by now and that school performances can be accessed online.
"Overall performance can be accessed via the Queensland Studies Authority website www.qse.qld.edu.au," Mr Baker said.
Every year, all students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 are assessed on the same days using national tests in reading, writing, language conventions (spelling, grammar and punctuation) and numeracy.
The National Assessment Program is the measure through which governments, education authorities and schools can determine whether or not young Australians are meeting important educational outcomes.
