Huge success at Mur’bah Festival of Performing Arts

The 2013 Murwillumbah festival of performing arts has been a great success so far this year with fantastic crowds watching the event.

Dance Convener Jenny Unwin said, "The music week had over 2,700 people through the door and the dance group weekend had 1,300 for just 3 days."

Competitors are coming from as far as Coffs Harbour, North Brisbane, Ipswich and Toowoomba.

"People are hearing more about the quality of the competition," Ms Unwin said

The trend for boys performing was also higher his year, she said.

"I thing has something to do with the new dance shows on TV making it cool now." Ms Unwin said
