Hundreds gather for Kane funeral

ABOUT 800 people were at All Saints Anglican Church today to say goodbye to Kelvin Kane who died outside a Kingscliff hotel on July 15.

The church was overflowing with people remembering the 50-year-old Kingscliff man who was killed after an argument outside the hotel turned violent.

Police responded to reports of an assault and on arrival at the hotel found people attempting to resuscitate Mr Kane.

Ex-NRL player Craig Field and former junior Cudgen coach Shaun Farmers were charged with Mr Kane's murder.
