Hung up on NBN
LIBERAL National Senator Barnaby Joyce and Federal Member for Flynn Ken O'Dowd have labelled Labor's rollout of the National Broadband Network a national disgrace.
Speaking at Gladstone's Kirkwood Rd shopping centre, the pair said residents and small businesses had been left in the lurch by Labor's bungled rollout.
"The NBN is just a joke, it's not even on the drawing board, it's a national disgrace," Mr O'Dowd said.
Senator Joyce said Labor shouldn't be trusted with large-scale projects and they could not connect a phone line.
Senator Joyce also said next month's introduction of the carbon tax would threaten Gladstone's prosperity.
