Hunt set for home debut

AFTER two tough road trips, the Gold Coast Football Club will be back in action at home this weekend in Round 10 VFL action.

Gold Coast takes on Frankston Dolphins at Broadbeach today in a match that will feature rugby league recruit Karmichael Hunt playing his first home game.

Hunt will have his first taste of defensive duties this week, after playing in the forward line in his debut two weeks ago.

Coach Guy McKenna believes Hunt will enjoy having the play unfold in front of him.

“His league and union history tells me he’ll probably appreciate being behind the ball, but I’m asking him not to sit back.

“I want him to take the game on,” he said.

“He’ll make mistakes, but that’s fine. We need to work him through that. He will learn.”

The bounce is at 2.10pm.
