Ian Taylor, Aaron Teys make it into nation's top bowls ranks

NATIONAL rankings seem to change as quickly as most people change their shirts.

The list released by Bowls Australia at the start of August, based on performance at accredited events, made no mention of three-times world champ Jeremy Henry, based at Warilla.

In the latest list of 130 rankings, issued at the end of the month, he's number one. Kingscliff's Ian Taylor has slipped a couple of notches to number 23 but he's still the top-ranked northern NSW bowler.

Former local Aaron Teys, the new Australian Open champ, is two places lower than Taylor.

Nobody else from our area gets a ranking until number 138. That spot is held by three locals - Mick Anderson, Indi Conlan and Kris Lehfeldt.
