If lycra undies are your thing you cannot miss this

VILLAINS of Tweed Heads beware.

A team of superheros is dressed and ready for action at the Family Centre.

The staff is getting ready for Superhero Saturday at Jack Evans Boat Harbour in Tweed Heads on September 7 from 9am until 1.30pm.

Superhero Saturday is The Family Centre's major fundraising event and it's now in its second year.

Executive director David Boutkan said it was a healthy and exciting orienteering style event for the whole family.

"Come dressed in your best superhero costumes - you can keep it simple or be as super as you like," he said.

"This year we've got some super challenges as well as short and long courses to suit all ages and fitness levels, so we're very excited about it."

Manager of community projects Colleen Dowd came to work as her favourite superhero Ms Marvel.

When My Daily News asked about coming to work as a superhero she said: "[It's] fantastic, I wish we could do it everyday"

Head down to Jack Evans Boat Harbour to take part in the fun filled day.
