Woolies shoplifter hid steak down his pants

A STEAK smuggler tried to steal meat from a Booval supermarket by putting it down the front of his pants.

Christopher Keith Fulton was caught shoplifting a tray of scotch fillet steak at Woolworths in Booval Fair on October 29.

The 34-year-old pleaded guilty to the offence at Ipswich Magistrates Court yesterday.

Police prosecutor Senior Sergent Ian Taylor said security staff saw Fulton hide the meat then attempt to leave the store without paying for it.

Fulton was convicted and fined $200.
