The art exhibition with bar stools

COOLANGATTA Sands Hotel is mixing it up a little this week with an art exhibition in the lounge bar on Saturday night.

Coolangatta School of Art director Innes McLeod has a unique surf-inspired style that is popular both here and in Japan.

The son of well known Australian painter Christopher McLeod was exposed to the arts from an early age, surrounded by the work of some of Australia's most talented painters including Jon Molvig and Jon Rigby.

The Queensland College of Art graduate initially entered the workforce as a designer and illustrator.

He has travelled extensively on most continents, creating oil paintings inspired by some of the most remote surf breaks in the world.

Be at the Coolangatta Sands Hotel on Maclean St, Coolangatta on Saturday night from 7pm.
