Inspiration for Tweed job seekers
Employee's had the opportunity to talk to employers from a variety of local industries and learn what it takes to gain employment yesterday.
NORTEC's Jobinar was held at South Tweed Sports Club with speakers Martin Darke and Michael Crossland and was to motivate and inspire job seekers.
Keith O'Grady of JH Williams and Sons was on hand to give job seekers tips
"People have to make sure there're presented well, make sure they know what to do and make sure they are on time if there're going for a interview," he said.
Well spoken and dressed job seeker Michael McNamara said it was a great experience and gave him information and tips on how to enter the work force.
"The speakers where inspirational," he said
The speakers told a packed house to enjoy life and have the confidence to go for what they wanted in life, he said.
"NORTEC started this event a couple of years ago in Coffs Harbour and it was such a great success we decided to run it through Coffs Harbour, Ballina, Grafton and Tweed Heads," marketing coordinator, Michelle Dowding said.
"Employers kindly donated their time to Jobinar and give tips to the job seekers."
