Miserable weather here for week
WET weather is set to hit the Gold Coast this week with showers and high humidity taking hold.
Cloudy with showers and storms was the forecast yesterday from both Weatherzone and the Australian Bureau of Meteorology with a just small chance of sunshine on the horizon.
A spokesman from the Weather Channel said the wet weather was a change from recent conditions.
"Today there will be showers and cloudy weather with the minimum temperature 21 and the maximum reaching 27," the spokesman said.
"The only fine day for the week when rain is not predicted to hit the Gold Coast is Sunday.
"There will definitely be an increase in rain this week."
The spokesman said showers were expected to continue throughout the week and leave little chance for beachgoers to enjoy the sunshine.
"It will be mostly cloudy on Monday with showers predicted on Tuesday," the weather channel spokesman said.
"Next week there will also be increased humidity on the Gold Coast which may continue through next weekend."
Humidity is expected to rise to 84% tomorrow and Wednesday and 74% on Thursday.
Thunderstorms are also predicted to hit the Gold Coast late Thursday afternoon.
