It’s time to vote
IT'S time to do your democratic duty at the NSW State election on Saturday.
But if you want to get in early, you can pre-poll vote at the Tweed Returning Officer's office, Wharf Central, 75-77 Wharf St, Tweed Heads or the Murwillumbah Civic and Cultural Centre.
On Saturday, there will be 25 voting locations across the region, including most public schools.
Other polling venues include:
- Seagulls Club
- 1st Chinderah Scout Hall
- Kingscliff TAFE
- Murwillumbah Civic and Cultural Centre
- North Star Holiday Resort
- Piggabeen Hall
- St Anthony's Parish Hall Kingscliff
- Tweed Shire Council Civic and Cultural Centre
Ballot papers must be received by the NSW Electoral Commission, no later than 6pm on Wednesday, April 1.
If you live in the Murwillumbah area, you'll likely be voting in the seat of Lismore, where you have four candidates to choose from, while the rest of the shire votes in the seat of Tweed in which five candidates are standing.
