Jacaranda Ave bullies strike again

A MAN fears for his life after being assaulted by the same gang of youths who are believed to have driven another to take his own life.

The 47-year-old man lost six of his teeth after being bashed with a cricket bat two doors down from where Jacaranda Avenue resident Martin Grove, 62, fatally shot himself last month.

The run-in on Saturday night was the first of four the man had with the group in less than a week. Since then he has been verbally abused outside his property, knocked off his bike and had a gang of around 15 youths attempt to force their way into his home.

Youths in the area have also been blamed for vandalising the prize rose garden of 71-year-old Ron Roberts.

See tomorrow's Tweed Daily News for a full interview with the victim.
