Jack is a natural business trader at just 12-years-old

SOUTHERN Gold Coast kid Jack Dent has been busy honing his business skills.

At 12 years old, Jack is Bartercard's youngest trader in the area.

Mentored by his father Don, Jack has watched how the system works and mastered the art of trade while becoming one of the favourite operators at the popular Bartercard trade day events.

Bartercard is a business-to-business trading scheme with over 55,000 members worldwide.

Don, who also owns 3D international Couriers, said his son Jack had developed a keen business mind and was an enthusiastic and active trader on the Bartercard network.

"Jack has been assisting me on the Bartercard network since he was six years old," Don said.

"He likes to trade anything he doesn't want anymore such as old games, gaming consoles or even gifts he receives for his birthday and Christmas.

"It's a win-win, Jack gets the cash and I earn the trade dollars to spend on goods and services for my business," he said.

South Gold Coast franchise principal Andrew Federowsky said it was inspirational to see Jack's enthusiasm for business grow through watching his dad trading on the network.

"Jack is a little power house and an excellent example of how the Bartercard network can be used for everyone," he said.

"He has an understanding of the network in line with some of our more senior members."

Bartercard South Gold Coast has 750 members spanning a range of industries, from beauty and hospitality to construction, including Bond University and the Gold Coast Titans.
