Jailed burglar may spend Christmas with family
A CONVICTED burglar should be out in time to spend Christmas with his two young daughters as long as he commits to seeking anger management treatment.
Larry Enrico Pucci should have been eligible for parole release on the burglary sentence, which he is appealing, relating to an incident at an Ipswich fruit barn.
But he has outstanding wilful damage offences, which he committed before he was jailed on the burglary.
Pucci must live at Riverview with his wife and daughters, who were crawling around Brisbane Supreme Court on Tuesday.
Justice Martin Daubney said it was a strange case but he noted if he released Pucci, he would be subject to parole and bail conditions.
He said Pucci should realise he must deal with the underlying issues that led to his anger, otherwise he would spend "more and more time in the slammer" and less time with his family.
