‘I want to go home’: James Corden

BRITISH export James Corden has said he's ready to quit his high-flying life in the US and return home.

He's opened up about his worries that his parents are missing out on watching his three children grow up, and how he struggles with being almost 9000km away from his parents as they grow older, reports The Sun.

Despite hosting The Late Late Show in Hollywood since 2015 and being under contract to remain on the ratings smash until 2020, Corden - who recently moved into a lavish new A$13.3 million mansion in Los Angeles - says his thoughts are starting to turn to coming home.

Speaking to Event magazine, he says: "I'm almost certain we won't live here forever.

"Right now is the only time since we moved here when I've experienced homesickness.

"For a while it was lovely. For a time it's great. With young kids it feels like a really great place to live. But then? I don't know."

Corden, 39, married actress-turned-producer Julia Carey in 2012, after being introduced by Corden's close pal Dominic Cooper, who had known Julia for years.

They have three kids, Max, six, Carey, three, and two-month-old Charlotte.

Speaking about his hectic work schedule and being so far from his parents - Malcolm and Margaret - in London, he says: "I'm unbelievably conscious that this is all great, amazing.

"But at some point, the phone is going to ring and we're going to feel a million miles away from people who might need us. That's what weighs on my mind. The money is lovely, but time is the only thing that actually exists.

"It's the only currency you're ever dealing with, and all you've ever got is this point right now. Time with people, time to do stuff - it's the only thing that matters."

Sealing his US success, last month Corden was invited back to host the Grammy Awards for the second year running, and is worth an estimated A$14.2 million fortune.

But speaking about his rapid rise to global fame, Corden reveals it is "unbelievably ridiculous".
