Jarrod flags Origin nightmare - a royal baby blue

QUEENSLAND'S justice ambassador was on tenterhooks during the State of Origin game last night.

Not because of the streakers or fears Queensland might lose but Attorney-General Jarrod Bleijie was scared Princess Kate Middleton might give birth to a prince.

"I could not get approval to fly blue anywhere in Queensland if it was a boy," he said.

Mr Bleijie has been tasked with Queensland's celebrations when the royal baby is born - due any day now.

He told the estimates hearing in Queensland Parliament - following a question about public holiday changes - that he was breathing easier now that colour was no longer an issue.
