Join the Pottsville drumming circle for fun in the sun

SPURRED on by the strong success of similar events in Byron Bay and Burleigh Heads, Emma Peel decided to start a Pottsville drumming circle.

A circle invites the community, beginners included, to get together for a bit of fun.

"For many years I have attended the drumming circles in both Burleigh Heads and Byron Bay, which are fantastic, so I started thinking it might be time to have something similar a little more local to our area. Something to bring the community together," she said.

After running the idea successfully by Tweed Shire Council, Miss Peel was granted a trial period, starting on Friday from 5pm to 8pm at Ambrose Brown Park, Pottsville Beach.

She said the event was about creating a group consciousness, or just meeting new people for some fun in the sun.

The family friendly drumming circle is free, open to all and drug and alcohol free.
