Julia Gillard to attend service

PRIME Minister Julia Gillard and Leader of the Opposition Tony Abbott will attend the Requiem Mass for Sapper Rowan Robinson in Kingscliff tomorrow.

The service will take place at St Anthonys Catholic Church on Pearl Street at 12pm.

Sapper Robinson was serving with the Special Operations Task Group in Afghanistan when he was tragically killed in action on Monday 6 June.

He graduated from Kingscliff High School in 2005 and was an active member of the surf life saving and sporting community.

Family, friends, military personal and ex service people are invited to attend the mass.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that people please donate in Rowan's honor to the Sapper Rowan Robinson Memorial Fund as part of the Commando Welfare Trust.
