Decision still pending in Ilic murder trial

A JURY has begun deliberating on whether a Goodna man fatally stabbed his step-father in his own bed.

Zarko Ilic was allegedly seen in his kitchen wielding two knives and threatening to kill himself moments before Ivan Martic was found with a blade protruding from his lifeless body.

The court has heard the pair had long-running animosity between them before the incident in September, 2009.

Ilic has pleaded not guilty in Brisbane Supreme Court to murder.

A jury began their discussions about 10.45am on Tuesday and had not made a decision before court finished for the day.
