Ken Upton first Graftonian have a Grafton Bitter from tap

THE BEER started flowing early today at the Great Northern Hotel because Grafton Bitter has come to town.

Publican Ken Upton was the first man to taste the fabled drop, straight from the tap.

He said it was so good he has already knocked off work and "moved to the good side of the bar."

The beer will be on tap all day and at 5.30pm representatives from the Grafton Chamber of Commerce and other local dignitaries will be coming down for a sample schooner.

More on the launch later today.
