Kennedy Drive on the agenda at today’s council meeting

KENNEDY Drive is set to be a hot topic at today's council meeting.

The meeting, which will start about 4.45pm at the Tweed Shire Council Chambers in Murwillumbah, will be given a vital report on the troublesome road.

The report will outline the maintenance, repair, and construction history of Kennedy Dr in the past four years and current and historical financial capacity for ongoing repair, resurfacing and reconstruction.

Sources of funding and a cost benefit analysis have also been included in the report.

It is also expected the report will outline the expected timeframes for the repaid, resurface and reconstruction of Kennedy Dr.

Councillors will also hear the recommendation of a planning proposal to give Bunnings some land from the Border Park Raceway.
