Skinner 'hopeful' for new jetty

CHINDERAH residents may have a jetty to look forward to in the future.

Tweed Shire Council supported the establishment of a jetty to service the boating fraternity in Chinderah.

Cr Kevin Skinner, who put the motion forward, said the size and positioning will be determined through consultation with the residents of the committee.

"I'm hopeful to get something happening within the next couple of months," said Cr Skinner.

Hundreds in the Chinderah community would be eager to see the establishment of a jetty.
