Kingscliff turns it on for bowls finals

THE Division Four State Bowls Pennant Finals were contested in picture perfect weather at the Kingscliff Bowls Club.

At the weekend the beachside bowls venue, along with Cudgen Bowls Club hosted 17 New South Wales clubs between Saturday August 3 through to Monday August 5.

With all the visitors in town, Kingscliff town centre was buzzing over the weekend, almost all accommodation was booked out.

Event coordinator Ian Taylor from Kingscliff Bowls Club said the weekend went very well and all involved were pleased with how things ran.

"A lot of people turned out and the club was very busy, Grafton won the final Monday morning which ran smoothly," Mr Taylor said.

Grafton took down Scone by five in the zone one final while Nelson Bay took out division two.
