Knife-wielding car-jacker attacks two men in Booval

A MAN wielding a knife attacked two elderly men in Booval on Saturday.

Police are searching for the man following two separate incidents in which a vehicle was stolen and two people were assaulted at Booval.

Just after 5pm a 76-year-old man was in his car at a Brisbane Rd carpark when he was approached by a man who produced a knife, pulled him out of the vehicle and pushed him to the ground.

The man entered the driver's side of the car before a witness intervened and physically removed him from the vehicle.

The man fled across Brisbane Rd where he assaulted a 60-year-old man before driving off in his blue 2003 Ford Falcon utility with registration number 169-SWN.

The 76-year-old victim sustained grazing to his hands and knees while the 60-year-old was uninjured.

The attacker is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 170cm tall with a solid build and brown hair.
