Labor support increases
LABOR'S mini-resurgence has continued with the latest Nielsen poll showing increased support for the government.
The two-point bump to Labor's primary and two-party-preferred vote - 32% and 46% respectively - was its best Nielsen result since February.
Support for the Coalition fell two points, but it retained an election-winning two-party-preferred lead of 54-46%.
It comes a week after a Newspoll showed Labor's primary vote had risen five points to 35%, and 8% in the space of a month.
In the preferred prime minister stakes Ms Gillard edged ahead of Opposition Leader Tony Abbot for the first time since February, 46-45%.
